Penetang Veterinary Hospital has been proudly providing veterinary care to the town of Penetanguishene and surrounding areas since 1992. Our team is a group of pet parents and lovers who strive to treat our patients and clients with the compassion and respect we believe they deserve. PET WELLNESS EXAMS
Our goal is a happy, healthy life for your pets. The saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” proves true as being proactive about your pets health can help prevent or recognize disease early. We believe in and are committed to practicing preventative care through annual pet wellness exams, deworming and tailoring vaccines to your pets needs and lifestyle.
SURGERY
Whether it be a planned routine surgical procedure or an emergency life saving surgery. We provide both routine and emergency surgery here at Penetang Veterinary Hospital.
VETERINARY DIAGNOSTICS
When your furry family member gets sick and for routine health screening we are here to help with in-clinic diagnostic capabilities. We have both an in-house laboratory for fast bloodwork and urinalysis results and an out of clinic laboratory for more extensive testing. When x-rays are required we have a high resolution digital x-ray machine. We also offer the advanced diagnostic capabilities of an in-house ultrasound machine.
EMERGENCY CARE SERVICES
Emergencies happen. We understand and are here for you and your four legged companions. We’re committed to your pet’s well-being and will always do our best to treat and heal animals and owners in need. Our after hours emergencies are referred to the Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic.
DENTISTRY
From preventative dental care to more complicated dental disease. We provide prophylactic scaling and polishing to remove tartar, clean teeth and keep dental disease at bay. We also provide digital dental x-rays to ensure that teeth are healthy below the gum line.
END OF LIFE
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is never easy. When it comes time to make this difficult decision we are here for you. Whether it be advice on quality of life or moving through with the process of euthanasia. Together we are here to help you and your pet make the transition with dignity and respect.
